What is Digital Foundations?
PublicTec Digital Foundations is our community programme dedicated to supporting Bedford-based charities and community groups with practical, trusted digital support.

Through Digital Foundations, we provide free IT advice and guidance, access to experienced IT professionals, and a clear route for organisations to apply for free IT equipment—such as laptops—where it will make a real difference.
We also offer hands-on support and guidance around digital tools and systems, helping charities work more efficiently, securely, and confidently.

Our aim is simple: to strengthen local charities by giving them the digital foundations they need to continue delivering vital services in the community.
Charity's we have supported
Fun 4 Young People
PublicTec provides free managed IT services to Fun 4 Young People, helping to maximise productivity and strengthen their digital capability. In addition, PublicTec has donated a number of devices to support the children and young people the charity works with.
Thomas Taylor Foundation
PublicTec donated several devices to the Thomas Taylor Foundation, enabling children to access technology that supports homework, learning, and wider educational activities.
LOWD (Legacy of Windrush Descendants and Friends)
PublicTec donated a device to LOWD to support its digital journey, enabling the organisation to apply for grants, engage more effectively with its community, and organise events.
Bed's and Camb's 4X4 Responce
PublicTec provided Beds and Cambs 4x4 Response with several Microsoft tablets to be used in deployments and training to capture and manage our confidential data and enhance on the ground comms.
